Monaco F1 Grand Prix: Rosberg under investigation

Nico Rosberg to be investigated by the stewards after his late error in qualifying ensures he takes pole position
Nico Rosberg is under investigation after his controversial error at the end of qualifying for the 2014 F1 Monaco Grand Prix.

A statement from the stewards read:

"Incident involving Nico Rosberg in Turn 5 at 14:59 is under investigation by the stewards."

Rosberg had the edge over team-mate Lewis Hamilton following the first runs in the top-ten shootout. However, on his second run, the German ran down the escape road at Mirabeau and then reversed out. That incident brought out the yellow flags and meant Hamilton was unable to improve, handing Rosberg the pole – at least for now – by default.

Metalguru: So now you are penalized for running off track? LOL?
There is precedent here for almost the same stunt, so they investigate. Not that I'm in the camp that believes it was planned. But if it was, Nico's only mistake was backing up, had he stayed put, I don't think even the yellow would have waived,

Oh!!! as always. free therapy... Rosberg reversed back into the track while aware that traffic was coming. That is enough to get him investigated and the pole taken away. Please stop being childish by telling what fan will do. I guarantee you that they will do jack. Just as some watch for the love of racing or the admiration for the driver other just do for the hate of a driver. So endgame they all stay and FIA rules Haven't you guys noticed that those who complained of the boredom of races since Malaysia keep watching and keep complaining?
