McLaren has dismissed speculation that Honda is considering buy a stake in the team.

Honda will supply engines to the Woking-based squad next season, and there have been some reports in recent days that the Japanese manufacturer might acquire the shares held by Bahrain's Mumtalakat Holding Company. However, McLaren has said though that the reports are not accurate.

"Contrary to recent media reports, Honda has informed us that it has no intention to buy into McLaren," a spokesperson for McLaren said.
