Felipe Massa set the fastest time for Williams on Tuesday morning at the in-season test at Silverstone.

Driving the FW36, Massa set a best time of 1:35.242 on the medium tyre during 22 laps of running in the first four hours of the day. That time was enough to leave him 0.331s clear of Nico Rosberg's Mercedes as the championship leader conducted aerodynamic work with flo-viz all over the rear of his car.

Sergio Perez was third fastest for Force India as he completed 43 laps, albeit over a second slower than Rosberg and 1.3s off Massa's time. Perez was just 0.2s quicker than Jules Bianchi's best time as the Marussia driver completed 72 laps on a productive morning of testing tyres for Pirelli.
