Schumacher's wife: Michael 'improving'

Michael Schumacher is "improving", says his wife Corinna on her first public appearance since the seven-time world champion's skiing accident
Michael Schumacher is "improving", says his wife Corinna in her first public comments since the seven-time world champion's skiing accident.

It was announced in June that Schumacher had come out of his coma and was being moved to a different facility in Lausanne to continue what was described as "a long phase of rehabilitation".

While updates on Schumacher's condition have previously come from his manager Sabine Kehm, his wife Corinna did touch on his recovery during an interview at a German horse-riding tournament.

"It's getting better, slowly certainly, but in any case it's improving," she told German magazine Neue Post.

During testing at Silverstone, Sebastian Vettel was also asked for his thoughts on Schumacher ahead of the German Grand Prix next weekend.

"It has been sad since we all heard what happened," Vettel said. "Equally I think we had some good news lately which is very positive. For sure we are all praying for some more good new in the next couple of weeks but it will be a long process."

This may seem harsh but i for one am getting a little frustrated with the whole lack of information of schumi's condition, we were all celebrating that he was out of a coma and doing well as per the last statement but out of a coma could mean anything, persistent vegetative state or responding to stimuli ????? what is it?? i appreciate the families need for privacy but their spokes people have to realise that he has millions of adoring fans who have supported him for decades, he doesn't just belong to his family and friends he belongs to the world, his fans!! We need more information, we need to know if he is going to be ok....... Keep fighting Schumi!!!!
