Nico Rosberg will run a special helmet design inspired by Germany's World Cup victory at this weekend's German Grand Prix.
Germany won the World Cup for the first time since 1990 with a 1-0 victory after extra time against Argentina in Brazil on Sunday. With the German Grand Prix taking place at Hockenheim this weekend, Rosberg has taken the opportunity to wear a one-off helmet for his home race which carries the colours of the German national flag as well as an image of the World Cup trophy.
Rosberg unveiled the design on Twitter:
It continues the crossover between F1 and the German football side after striker Lukas Podolski wore boots carrying the message “Keep Fighting Michael” in tribute to Michael Schumacher during the tournament.
