Alexander Rossi says he has “big goals to accomplish” at Marussia having made the switch from Caterham.
With Caterham under new ownership, Rossi left the team and has joined rivals Marussia – currently ninth in the constructors' championship – as reserve driver. Speaking exclusively to Crash.net
, Rossi said it had been an easy decision to make and is keen to start working with the team as soon as possible in order to progress his F1 career.
“It's always exciting to turn the page and start a new chapter in the journey,” Rossi said. “I just want to get straight down to business and get on with it. We have lots of work to do and big goals to accomplish.
“The management welcomed me right away and I felt right at home. Sometimes in life you just know when things are right and good things happen.”
Rossi also said he plans on making a number of Friday practice appearances and expects a run at the United States Grand Prix to be central to that schedule.
“My plan is to drive in several FP1 sessions before the end of the season, with venues to be announced in the near future and Austin is paramount.”
