Felipe Massa has promised there is "a lot more to come" after he took his first podium of the season and his first with Williams in the Italian Grand Prix.

Massa ran third for most of the race, making a good start, and running second early on after dispensing with Kevin Magnussen's McLaren. Although he was unable to hold off the recovering Lewis Hamilton, he comfortably took the final place on the rostrum, finishing more than 15 seconds up on team-mate, Valtteri Bottas.

"I am very happy with my first podium of the season," said Massa, who was confirmed alongside Bottas for 2015 this morning.

"I was not very lucky in some of the other races [this year]. But the luck is on our side now, I am sure, and from now until the very last race we are going to be there fighting. I am so happy to be on the podium here.

"There is a lot more to come."

Massa also took encouragement from the pace of the Williams FW36 and the fact the Grove team has now moved ahead of Ferrari and up into third place in the Constructors' Championship, 15 points in front.

"Definitely, it is a very great day for us. It was a great race and a great start. Also the pace, I think, was very good - not enough to fight with Mercedes but we still had very good pace, a very good car. The team did a perfect job," continued the Brazilian.

"I am really, really happy to be on the podium. We missed a little bit during the season to be on the podium, but it is so special to be on the podium here in front of these amazing people.

"Also a very positive result for us that we passed Ferrari here as well [in the Constructors'], which is very important for us and very good for us. I think it is amazing to see how Williams were last year and then [now] we are fighting with big teams - definitely it is very good for the whole team.

"We will keep fighting until the last race and I hope we can get this third place in the Constructors' Championship. That would be fantastic."
