Williams deputy team principal Claire Williams believes the team has a potential title-winning driver line-up in Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa.

Both Bottas and Massa were confirmed as staying with the team in 2015 during the Italian Grand Prix weekend, with Williams currently third in the constructors' championship and finishing third and fourth behind the two Mercedes in Monza. Following that announcement, when asked if she feels Williams has a championship challenging line-up, Williams replied: "100%.

"That is the goal; to win that championship in the short term. Of course you're going to put the drivers in your cockpits that you believe can do that for you."

When asked if 2015 was too short a timeframe for the team to consider fighting for the title, Williams said it could be but refused to rule out a challenge.

"I think we've still got work to do and I think a lot of it inevitably depends where the competition is. Mercedes this year has done a great job. I think we're closing the gap, I think you could see that [in Monza] but it depends where everybody else falls out.

"Next year is an evolutionary year, it's not a revolutionary year with a major overhaul in regulations again, so it's dependent very much upon what the other teams can do as well and where they are."
