Nico Rosberg says it doesn't matter to him if he wins this year's world championship by virtue of double points in Abu Dhabi.

Heading in to the Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend, Rosberg is 24 points behind team-mate Lewis Hamilton, meaning Hamilton could usually wrap up the championship at Interlagos. When asked if he wanted to outscore Hamilton to ensure the gap is less than 25 points heading to Abu Dhabi to prevent questions about a tainted title, Rosberg replied: "It is what it is.

"I don't really care, as long as I have one point more at the chequered flag in Abu Dhabi I don't care why or how. It is the same for everybody."

However, Rosberg admits he is slightly more relaxed about the championship battle because he is confident Mercedes has the car to ensure he will be again fighting for the title next season too.

"There is of course another good chance since our car is awesome and the team is doing an awesome job. I am just in the moment now and want to make the most of it."
