Monisha Kaltenborn says Sauber will race with Marcus Ericsson and Felipe Nasr in 2015 despite comments from Adrian Sutil.

After the two race seats were announced, Sutil - who also has a contract in place - said there were no guarantees either driver or even the team would be racing next season. Kaltenborn said she didn't understand why Sutil made the comment but the team principal insisted the two named drivers would be racing for Sauber in 2015.

"We have announced our two drivers," Kaltenborn said. "I'm not aware next year more than two cars will be used. We've announced our drivers, and that's how it's going to be."

And Kaltenborn said any issues that had arisen as the result of the new signings would be dealt with behind closed doors.

"I am very clearly aware of my situation and I know what I'm doing. We've announced our drivers and anything else we will sort out internally.

"We know what we are doing and we are sure about that. If others want to say something, fine, but we will discuss these things internally."

Having confirmed to Crash.net in Austin that Ericsson's signing came with a financial interest, she conceded that was also the case with Nasr.

"You have to look at the overall situation in Formula One. It's very challenging, and when private teams make decisions they have to take financial aspects into consideration. That's the situation, and it's now different for us. It's a step in the right direction."
