Ferrari has announced Sebastian Vettel will join the team on a three-year deal in 2015, replacing Fernando Alonso.

Within moments of Alonso's departure being announced, Ferrari confirmed that his replacement would be Vettel, who joins the team having already achieved four consecutive drivers' championships with Red Bull.

Vettel, who described the move as a dream come true, will partner Kimi Raikkonen next season and Ferrari team principal Marco Mattiacci said he sees Vettel as the driver to return the team to the front of the grid.

"In Formula 1 terms, Sebastian Vettel is a unique combination of youthfulness and experience and he brings with him that sense of team spirit which will prove invaluable when, together with Kimi, they tackle the challenges awaiting us, as we aim to be front runners again as soon as possible.

"With Sebastian, we all share a thirst for victory as well as enthusiasm, a strong work ethic and tenacity; key elements for all the Scuderia members to write together a new winning chapter in the history of Ferrari."

Vettel bringing Adrian would replicate Shumi's move way back when they became a force to be reckoned with ! but in the Evinrude outboard motor sounding days that Aint gonna happen at the Beeg Red team ! maybe this can help Shumi come out of it with a smile knowing his records will probably last for eternity Alonso to Audi WEC that would be fun

I wonder if the same people who crowed when Button beat Lewis over a season are the ones who are saying it doesn't mean a thing now Ricciardo has beat Seb over the year......

Hell, yes they are!!!!!!!
