Nico Rosberg says he has more than the gap to Lewis Hamilton in his pocket following Friday practice for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Hamilton topped both practice sessions, with the gap coming down to less than 0.1s in FP2 as Mercedes dominated. Rosberg has been confident following a number of Friday sessions that he has more time to find compared to his team-mate and he said it was once again the case in Abu Dhabi.

"0.08s? Yes, I have to check, but I think I have that in my pocket; more than that actually," Rosberg said. "It's been a good day and I haven't really got my lap together yet today so I've still got some work to do also on the car for tomorrow but it's been a good day.
