McLaren's Ron Dennis said "the right man won" after Lewis Hamilton became a double world champion at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Hamilton's victory in Abu Dhabi saw him add a second world championship to his maiden triumph, achieved with McLaren in 2008. The win was his 11th of the season, whereas team-mate and championship rival Nico Rosberg won just five times in a dominant year for Mercedes.

Dennis was the man who brought Hamilton in to F1 in 2007 - something Hamilton referenced in his post-race press conference - and when asked by Crash.net about his former driver's success, Dennis replied: "The right man won.
