Ferrari chairman Sergio Marchionne says "2015 will be a year of reconstruction" for the team after such a tough year this season.

The team went through three team principals and two chairmen in 2014, with a number of high profile team members also leaving Ferrari. Having described last season as "a huge disaster", Marchionne said he is prepared to allow the team time to rebuild having had so much uncertainty when making plans for next year.

"I will try not to talk about 2014 because it has been a year to forget," Marchionne said during Ferrari's annual Christmas media briefing. "So instead let's talk about the future; we will look towards 2015 with some optimism.
