F1: Force India launches on Wednesday, delays VJM08 track debut

Force India to show off 2015 livery on January 21 with a live launch at the Soumaya Museum in Mexico
Force India will present its livery for the 2015 F1 season on Wednesday, although its new car won't actually make its track debut until after the first pre-season test at Jerez.

The unveiling of the colour scheme for the new VJM08 will take place at the iconic Soumaya Museum in Mexico with the squad building on its links to the country.

The launch will be streamed live online via the team's official website and the outfit is already well into its preparations for that event.

The VJM08 will then make its track debut at the Barcelona test later next month. The squad plans to use its old car for the opening test from February 1-4.

Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez both remain with Force India for 2015 having helped the Silverstone squad score its biggest points total in its history last year. Perez also scored only the team's second podium finish when he came home third in Bahrain.

Meanwhile, McLaren will be the first to actually unveil its 2015 F1 car next week on Thursday, January 29. Ferrari follows a day later and Mercedes on February 1, when pre-season testing kicks off at Jerez. As yet the other teams have still to confirm when they will launch their new cars.
