Pastor Maldonado says his aim for the 2015 Formula 1 season is to return Lotus to 'where it was' prior to him joining the team with the new E23.

The Venezuelan got his first laps in the car during pre-season testing and was positive about the feedback from the revised chassis and the new Mercedes power unit, which replaces the Renault engine.

Indeed, Maldonado, who joined Lotus from Williams at the start of the 2014 season, is eager to help the team return to the form that saw it winning races in 2012 and 2013 having struggled for points last year.
