Scuderia Toro Rosso has become the latest team to cement its schedule for the forthcoming Barcelona group test, where rookies Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz Jr will attempt to get more miles under the belts.

Both youngsters enjoyed a relatively successful couple of days in the opening group session at Jerez, racking up 170 and 183 laps respectively and lapping competitively enough to sit ninth and eleventh on the combined four-day timesheet.

With mileage as important for the two newcomers as for the all-new STR10, Barcelona will provide another opportunity to accumulate seat time, with each getting two days behind the wheel of the Renault-powered contender.

"For T02 in Barcelona, the plan is for Max to drive on days one and three, and for Carlos to do so on days two and four," the team confirmed to Crash.net.

With sister team Red Bull Racing having struggled for laps at Jerez, the two rookies may also be proving useful for Christian Horner's outfit, but the focus for Barcelona will now be on further honing the STR10 with just eight days of running permitted between the start of the test and their full grand prix debut in Melbourne next month.

Force India, meanwhile, has said that its line-up - which may or may not include Mercedes protege Pascal Wehrlein if rumours are to be believed - will be confirmed on Monday [16 February].
