New Ferrari F1 team principal Maurizio Arrivabene says Sebastian Vettel is a 'carbon copy' of its former champion Michael Schumacher ahead of their first season together at the Scuderia.

After winning four consecutive world titles with Red Bull Racing between 2010 and 2013, Vettel defects to Ferrari for 2015 in place of Fernando Alonso and his arrival has already created a buzz within the ranks.

Swiftly getting up to speed in the SF15-T during the first F1 test in Jerez earlier this month, Vettel's ability has prompted praise from Arrivabene, going as far as to compare him with Schumacher, who clinched five of his F1 world titles as a Ferrari driver.

"I was around in Michael (Schumacher)'s time and I confess that there are times when I look at Vettel and, in some ways, it really seems like a carbon copy of Schumi" Arrivabene is quoted in Leo Turrini's blog.

"There are impressive similarities for those who have known both. We all hope that the results are the same as well."

Vettel and team-mate Kimi Raikkonen will continue with testing in Spain this week, with eight more days on track ahead of the 2015 F1 opener, the Australian Grand Prix.
