Pascal Wehrlein got more than he bargained for as he returned to the F1 paddock on the first day of pre-season testing in Barcelona after driving both the Force India and the Mercedes.

The Mercedes test driver was always set to get an outing around the Circuit de Catalunya as part of a deal with the Force India team, Wehrlein spending his morning in the 2014 specification VJM07 as the team made its first appearance of 2015.

However, when reigning champion Lewis Hamilton was forced to call an early end to his day over at Mercedes because of a fever, Wehrlein was recalled by his employers and placed in the W06 for the afternoon.
