Jenson Button is to compete in his first London Marathon this April.

Button, a marathon and triathlon fanatic, will make his debut at the London event this year and will line-up on a very different looking grid to the ones he is normally used to.

The former Formula 1 World champion will also be fundraising for Cancer Research UK on 26th April and hopes to raise over ?5,000 pounds in the process.

The two men will therefore give the marathon a full F1 racing edge, as the season takes a mini-break between the fourth and fifth rounds - Bahrain and Spain - of the 2015 season.

Button's personal marathon best is two 2:58:34 which he set at the Honolulu Marathon in 2012.
