Fifth place Daniil Kvyat suggests he may have stood to start even higher on the grid for the Malaysian Grand Prix, saying he went out 'a little too early' in the damp but improving conditions.

A substantial step forward for the Russian compared with the Australian Grand Prix, Kvyat made the most of the inclement conditions to get his Red Bull up to fifth place on the grid, just behind his team-mate Daniel Ricciardo.

Despite the positive result though, Kvyat feels he went out too early on the evolving circuit, hinting that he could have gone quicker.
