Daniel Ricciardo has extended praise to Toro Rosso and its drivers after out-performing the Red Bull 'A' team during the Malaysian Grand Prix.

In what has been a tough beginning to the season for the former title-winning team, Red Bull suffered the ignominy of having both Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat beaten on track by Toro Rosso's rookie drivers Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz.

Marking Toro Rosso's best single race points' haul since 2009, Ricciardo - who competed with the team for two seasons before stepping up to Red Bull - paid tribute to its success.
