Nico Rosberg will take the fastest time of the weekend thus far into qualifying for the Spanish Grand Prix after topping a close third and final free practice, as Lewis Hamilton lost time with a spin.
The German's late soft-tyre run would see him emerge top of the timesheets with a time of 1min 26.021secs, though in a closer FP3 session than usual, just two tenths covered the top three heading into this afternoon's qualifying session.
Having split the Mercedes' in FP2, Sebastian Vettel continued to get amongst the 'silver arrows' in his Ferrari, just a tenth slower than Rosberg and ahead of Hamilton, a further four hundredths back.
Indeed, Hamilton, who complained of an 'inconsistent' Mercedes on Friday would find himself in a spin when he washed out wide at turn three and was pitched sideways on the exit. Though he was able to get back to the pit lane, he couldn't hook up an ideal lap time when he did emerge on soft rubber, leaving him two tenths short.
Following a typically quiet day for Williams on Friday, Valtteri Bottas gave a glimpse of its single-lap form with the fifth fastest time, just ahead of Kimi Raikkonen and Daniel Ricciardo, the Red Bull driver getting some good laps in having lost most of Friday as the team changed his Renault engine.
Four tenths behind his team-mate, Felipe Massa was seventh fastest, ahead of the remaining Red Bull-affiliated cars of Max Verstappen, Daniil Kvyat and Carlos Sainz.
Outside the top ten, Jenson Button continued to lead McLaren's challenge in 11th as the team knocks on the door of Q3 heading into qualifying, ahead of Nico Hulkenberg and Felipe Nasr, the pair showing good strides for Force India and Sauber to lead Fernando Alonso and both Lotus cars.
