Felipe Massa says he is on hand to give Alex Lynn all the advice he needs as he prepares to make his bow in a Williams F1 car during testing at the Circuit de Catalunya.

The defending GP3 Series champion, who celebrated his first GP2 Series win in Spain at the weekend, will get his first taste of Williams machinery since signing on as its development driver earlier in the year.

He will take over the car from Massa, who has been driving FW37 on the first day, with the Brazilian saying he is certain he will get to grips with the car quickly.

"He is following the test and I was talking to him, telling him how the car is, how to drive the car, the balance, how he needs to work with the engine and tyres... I am sure he will do a good job. Indeed, Massa says he is happy to offer the wisdom of his years in F1, saying he benefited in his younger days from Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello.
