Fernando Alonso says his rekindled relationship with the McLaren team - and particularly team boss Ron Dennis - is 'great' despite a tough start to the season.

McLaren remains one of only two teams, along with backmarker Manor, yet to score a point in 2015, as it struggled to get up to speed with its new Honda V6. Despite the tension that could cause, however, Alonso and Dennis have only had positive things to say about each other, with the famously enigmatic team boss recently claiming that the Spaniard 'is a fantastically motivated and inspirational man - as quick as ever, as competitive as ever, more experienced than ever, more expert than ever, and combines those traits with an infectious energy and enthusiasm'.

While Alonso may not yet share Dennis' conviction that the he and McLaren can once again rise to the forefront of F1 - 'we'll win again, we'll dominate again, and we'll do that together, with Fernando front and central,' Dennis told the official F1 website - he is grateful to have been welcomed back into the fold at Woking.
