Valtteri Bottas says he doesn't expect to see Lotus threatening Williams for the top four in the Canadian Grand Prix as he looks to challenge for a podium at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve.

With team-mate Felipe Massa suffering problems and Sebastian Vettel down the order, Bottas capitalised to put the Williams on the second row in fourth place, less than a tenth behind third place countryman Kimi Raikkonen.

Eyeing a challenge for the podium in the race, Bottas is confident he can take the fight to Raikkonen, particularly as he doesn't expect a challenge from the two Lotus cars directly behind him.

"The race pace compared to Ferrari is a little bit unknown at the moment. I think we need to be open minded, ready to react."
