Fernando Alonso is set to land both grid penalties and an in-race penalty after it was confirmed he has taken a new ICE and MGU-H ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix.

The Spaniard had always made reference to likelihood of penalties for the Red Bull Ring event, but the confirmation of two changes means he is destined for a 20-place grid penalty alone.

As a result, Alonso is almost certain be handed a race penalty to compensate for not being able to take the full 20 place grid drop, with the full punishment to be confirmed following qualifying. Alonso also changed his MGU-K, but it is only his third of the season, so no additional penalty applies.
