Felipe Nasr is eyeing more points for his rookie Formula 1 campaign after enjoying his best qualifying performance of the season ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix.

On what has been a competitive weekend for the Brazilian, Nasr continued his impressive form when qualifying got underway, squeezing his Sauber into Q3 for only the second time this year.

Going on to turn in the ninth best time of the final session, due to a penalty ahead of Daniil Kvyat, Nasr will start from a career-best fourth row in eighth place, a position he is confident will yield more points.

"It was a great qualifying for us," he said. "Since the first free practice we have gone in the right direction and saw that our car was competitive. The conditions were not easy today, but everyone in the team did a good job and put everything together. It is a satisfying starting position for the race, and I am confident about fighting for points."
