Jules Bianchi's racing number is to be retired from use in F1 as a tribute to the Frenchman, following his death over the weekend.

The Marussia F1 driver passed away as a result of head injuries sustained in an accident during the 2014 Japanese Grand Prix. He had been in a coma for nine months and died aged just 25.

In honour of the late driver, the FIA has confirmed his #17 racing number will be retired and unavailable from use by any other driver in Formula 1.
