Lewis Hamilton will take the fastest lap time of the weekend so far into qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix after setting an impressive pace during final free practice at Spa-Francorchamps.

Having played second fiddle to Mercedes team-mate and title rival Nico Rosberg during Friday's two free practice sessions, Hamilton was in fine form during FP3 on his soft tyre run as he stopped the clock at 1min 48.984secs.

Elsewhere, Carlos Sainz was 11th and Pastor Maldonado 12th, while his Lotus team-mate Romain Grosjean - who was reprimanded for impeding Hulkenberg in FP2 - endured a spin and was blocked by Kimi Raikkonen on his final lap en route to 16th.

Meanwhile, McLaren-Honda is set to fit yet more power unit components to its cars ahead of qualifying - a move that will potentially give it an effective 100+ grid drop penalties across its two drivers -, with Fernando Alonso failing to set a time after reportedly suffering issues with the exhaust, while Jenson Button was 17th fastest.
