The Lotus F1 team has avoided administration for another week after a judge agreed to a final adjournment in the case brought against them by the British tax authorities.

Lawyers acting on behalf of Lotus said that a deal for Renault to buy it was in the offing and that any decision brought by the court could have an effect on it going through.

According to Reuters, Mr Justice Birss has granted an adjournment for another week on Monday 28 September - the day after the Japanese Grand Prix.
