Sahara Force India has officially confirmed Sergio Perez will remain with the team for the 2016 Formula 1 World Championship season alongside Nico Hulkenberg.

Having declared earlier this month that he was close to penning a new contract with the team, the Mexican - who made his F1 debut in 2011 - has now officially confirmed he will stay for a third consecutive season with the team ahead of the 2015 Japanese Grand Prix.

Marking an unchanged driver line-up for the Force India team after it announced a renewal with Nico Hulkenberg last month, Perez heads into the 2016 season looking to build on a recent strong run of racing form.
