Raffaele Marciello will return to the Sauber cockpit for the upcoming United States Grand Prix with an outing in the car for first free practice at the Circuit of the Americas.

The Italian, who is currently eighth in the GP2 Series standings with two rounds remaining, has already had three race meeting outings in the Sauber C34 this year, participating in FP1 in Malaysia, Spain and Great Britain.

Maricello will replace Felipe Nasr - who finished sixth in the most recent Russian Grand Prix - in the car for the first practice session of the weekend, to drive alongside Marcus Ericsson.
