Grosjean leads F1 tributes for Paris terror attacks

Romain Grosjean leads the social media tributes to the victims of Friday evening's Paris terror attacks.
Romain Grosjean has led the social media tributes to the victims of the Paris terror atrocities following the death of more than 120 people in a series of attacks on Friday evening.

Several simultaneous attacks across the French capital city wreaked havoc as gunmen opened fire on busy bars, restaurants and a concert venue, leaving at least 127 people dead.

Ahead of this weekend's Brazilian Grand Prix, drivers and teams have been paying tribute, led by France's only current F1 driver Grosjean and McLaren racing director Eric Boullier, with both using the popular 'Pray for Paris' image which has been shared across social media. Grosjean will also wear a 'tricolore' armband this weekend.

Several other figures, including Fernando Alonso, have also shared the image.

Some beautiful responses reflect the sadness and anger the world feels when these atrocities occur. I'm not totally cool with the PrayforParis hashtag though, however well-intentioned. The attackers certainly prayed to kill as many as they could before carrying out their attacks.
