Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren have been selected to participate in Pirelli's wet tyre test at Paul Ricard circuit on 25-26 January.
The two-day test will exclusively concentrate on wet tyres and no intermediates or dry tyres will be used as Pirelli plans to experiment with different wet prototypes.
The three F1 teams selected to take part in the test are Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren. So far, only McLaren has revealed its nominated test driver, with GP2 champion Stoffel Vandoorne participating.
The wet tyre test marks a return to action in F1 after the winter break and the first chance to see all the F1 teams in action will be the first official F1 pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya on the 22-25 February. The three teams taking part in the wet tyre test are expected to use its 2015 cars.
Pirelli ran a private tyre test at Abu Dhabi in December immediately after the 2015 season finale but this month's Paul Ricard test will be open to the media.
