Toro Rosso STR11 ready to test without the 'bull'

Toro Rosso's new Ferrari-powered STR11 will be on track in Barcelona next week, but won't be officially launched until the second test
Toro Rosso has confirmed it will run a 'blue' STR11 during the first F1 test in Barcelona next weekend, but says the new car will be on track as planned.

The Italian team – which has retained Max Verstappen and Carlo Sainz as drivers - traditionally pulls the wraps off its new car the day before pre-season testing gets underway, but will this year roll the STR11 out on the morning of the test without its final livery.

Toro Rosso has been facing a race against time to get its new car ready following late changes to the schedule, coupled to the delayed confirmation that it will use a year-old Ferrari power unit in 2016 in a switch from Renault.

Even so, the car will hit the track on schedule, with the full launch deferred to the second test a week later at the Circuit de Catalunya.

Last month, Sauber confirmed it will run the 2015-specification C34 in its 2016 livery, with the new C35 bowing at the second Barcelona test.

longish time not see/read/hear.
A little bit of a hiatus. Patiently plotting the demise of old man winter. I can't wait until Australia when Ferrari can fire it up the first time, for the first time, again. Hope all is well.
