Silverstone has confirmed its two-day in-season F1 test immediately after the British Grand Prix will be open to the public.
The Northamptonshire circuit will play host to the second in-season F1 test in 2016 on the Tuesday and Wednesday after the British GP (12-13 July), after Circuit de Catalunya holds the first mid-season test on the 17-18 May.
Silverstone has confirmed the test will be open for any fans wishing to attend with tickets expected to go on sale in the coming weeks.
The circuit last hosted an F1 test two years ago alongside Spain and Austria. With many of the British-based teams housing headquarters close to the circuit it is believed to have been reintroduced as a straightforward method of keeping costs down.
