Toro Rosso has unveiled its new car livery for the STR11 ahead of the second pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya.
Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz have unwrapped the updated livery at a team presentation in the pitlane of the Barcelona circuit with the car keeping its glossy purple base layer with its traditional red charging bull on the engine cover.
For 2016, the Italian squad switches to year-old Ferrari power units after splitting from Renault as its engine supplier while keeping its impressive driver line-up of Verstappen and Sainz.
Toro Rosso team principal Franz Tost says he is delighted to reignite his squad's relationship with Maranello and hopes the two can form a formidable partnership in 2016.
“We are proud of this car and what it represents in terms of the work that went into designing and building it in record time in our new facility in Faenza," Tost said. "And I am particularly pleased that 2016 sees a return to Ferrari power, with everyone looking forward to working once again with our friends from Maranello.
"In Formula 1, the stars are the drivers and I am keen to see what our two very talented youngsters, Max and Carlos can achieve this year, as they are now in their second season.
"None of this would be possible without the invaluable support of our partners and sponsors; Red Bull, Sapinda, Estrella Galicia. We are very happy to welcome back our friends from Falcon Private Bank and to start a new cooperation with Casio Edifice."
Max Verstappen is at the wheel of the STR11 today. He will also drive on Day 3, while Carlos Sainz drives on Wednesday and Friday.
The second and concluding F1 pre-season test begins in earnest at 9AM CET (8AM GMT) on Tuesday 1st March.
