The Mexican driver, who is currently competing in the Formula V8 3.5 series with AVF, was given the honour of debuting the VJM09 at winter testing in Spain, followed by another full day at the pre-season tests, along with FP1 outings in Bahrain and Russia.

Force India confirmed via Twitter its development driver will return to action for both days of the in-season test on the 17-18 May at the Circuit de Catalunya following the Spanish Grand Prix.

Renault has selected junior driver Esteban Ocon to take part in the test while at Williams Alex Lynn will also enjoy an outing, both receiving one day of the test each.
