Ocon to get Mercedes outing in Barcelona test

Having been confirmed as driving for Renault in FP1 for the Spanish Grand Prix, Esteban Ocon will also drive the Mercedes W07 in the following F1 test
Mercedes has confirmed Esteban Ocon will drive its championship leading W07 during the two-day Circuit de Catalunya test in Spain next week.

The reigning GP3 Series champion is competing in the DTM this season with Mercedes, but has been loaned to the Renault F1 team to fill a reserve role alongside his position in the German manufacturer's driver development programme.

With the highly-rated Frenchman set to get his first Renault outing during first free practice for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix, Ocon will cross back over to Mercedes for the ensuing two-day Circuit de Catalunya for a stint in the W07.

Championship leader Nico Rosberg will drive the car on one of the days.
