Max Verstappen will start the Monaco Grand Prix from the pit lane in a newly-built Red Bull Racing chassis following his accident in qualifying.

The Dutchman heavily damaged his RB12 during Q1 when he clipped the inside of the turn 15 barrier, breaking his front suspension and clattering the outside barrier at turn 16.

Leaving him a provisional 21st on the grid, the decision was taken to start from the pit-lane instead in a newly-built chassis.
