F1 British GP: Sauber forced to skip Silverstone test

Sauber confirms it will not participate in the post-British Grand Prix test at Silverstone for 'cost' reasons as its upgrade won't be ready.
Sauber has revealed it will miss the latest in-season Formula 1 test at Silverstone because its upgrade package won't be ready in time.

The financially-strapped team had been hoping to introduce a revised aero package for the post-British Grand Prix test in what would have been the first upgrade Sauber has introduced all season.

However, the Swiss outfit has now confirmed it will now not stay on for the test for cost reasons as the upgrade won't be available in time.

Sauber, which has slipped to the bottom of the constructors' standings in the wake of Manor scoring a point in Austria last weekend, also missed the post-Spanish GP test in Barcelona for financial reasons.
