F1 German Grand Prix: Sainz loses 3 spots for Massa block

Carlos Sainz is demoted three positions on the grid for the German Grand Prix after blocking Felipe Massa in qualifying.
Carlos Sainz has been demoted three positions on the grid for the German Grand Prix after he was punished for impeding Felipe Massa during qualifying at the Hockenheimring.

Sainz was caught touring on the racing line into turn two during Q2, forcing Williams' Massa out wide and ruining his lap.

Though Massa would make it through to Q3, unlike Sainz in 13th, the stewards would still punished the Spaniard for the indiscretion, dropping him to a provisional 16th on the grid.
