Sauber is continuing on its recruitment drive with the appointment of former Ferrari and Haas engineer and strategist Ruth Buscombe.
Buscombe began the 2016 season on the pit wall with F1 newcomers Haas as race strategist having risen through the ranks at Ferrari, but parted ways with the team during the summer.
However, she will now make a return to the F1 fold with Sauber as its Strategy Engineer, marking the latest in a string of notable acquisitions made by the Swiss outfit since the buyout by Longbow Finance was confirmed in July.
Though Sauber is yet to score a point this season and languishes bottom of the constructors standings; Buscombe joins ex-Max Verstappen engineer Xevi Pujolar and chief aerodynamicist Hennel de Beaupreau in agreeing a deal with Sauber in the last month.
