Nico Rosberg insists he doesn't need to take "anything" from his dominant Singapore GP performance and that his only focus now is on Malaysia this weekend, where he believes he has a "great chance to win" again.

Rosberg re-took the lead in the Drivers' Championship last time out with his third win in succession and will now be looking to extend his eight-point lead over team-mate Lewis Hamilton.

Asked about his form in Singapore - and particularly his brilliant pole lap - and if that has given him a boost, Rosberg replied: "I don't need to take anything from the Singapore weekend. It was a great result and a great weekend and I am very happy about that. But it is in the past.

"I am here in Sepang and ready to go and of course I believe I have a great chance to win here as well and I just want to try and go for that."

WHERE & WHEN can you watch the Malaysian Grand Prix

Pressed on how he can keep saying he is not thinking about the Championship battle given he is leading, and given there are only six races left, he added: "It is not that I don't think about it. I mean I am aware of the situation and I am aware of the points and whatever else, that is fine. It is just that I try and focus on the race weekend I have in front of me because it has been working really well for me to just do that and not think about anything else. So that is it.

"[As I said] I want to win here in Sepang and I am going to go for that. We [Hamilton and I] are pushing each other very hard on the race track and even off the race track in many different areas. It is a great battle and everything counts."

Meanwhile, with Mercedes able to wrap up the Constructors' this weekend and secure it for the third year in succession, Rosberg reiterated just what a brilliant job the team has done.

"It has been another incredible year really. Every time we think it can never been again and can never repeat itself and be as good as that again, we manage to do it again. This year as well now so early in the season we have the opportunity to clinch the Constructors' Championship, which is phenomenal and everybody has just done an unbelievable job - very impressive," he concluded.
