It marks the third straight FIA Action of the Year award for the Dutch starlet, backing up his 2015 gong for his pass around the outside of Felipe Nasr at Spa's Blanchimont corner in the Belgian Grand Prix.

In 2014 Verstappen picked up his first award for a mesmerising last-lap pass on Antonio Giovinazzi in a European Formula 3 race at Imola.
