Tyrrell designer Harvey Postlethwaite has confirmed that he will remain in
Formula One when his team is taken over by British American Racing at the end of the year.
The Englishman, who has worked for Tyrrell and
Ferrari in a long and distinguished career, has been linked to the nascent Honda works programme, but refused to confirm whether this was a possibility for 1999. (When I wake up in the morning, I think about motor racing,) he said, (and motor racing is probably my second last thought before going to bed at night. Whatever I do next year will have to be something in the same area of activity.)
Speculation says that the Honda effort may have to wait until the year 2000, despite the company hoping to come in next year.
