Motor racing fans will be able to see Grand Prix cars in action for as little as ten pounds, at the GPlive event at Donington Park next May.

Ten pounds is all that will take to gain admission to the practice day on Friday May 18th and the rest of the ticket prices over the entire weekend ensure top value entertainment.

The GPlive event is a unique celebration of the pinnacle of motor racing action, bringing iconic Grand Prix racing cars of all eras to Donington on the weekend of 18-20 May 2007. More than that, the event is specifically designed to allow race fans unprecedented access to the fastest cars and the greatest stars.

“Accessibility has been our key from the word go,” event originator Richard Morgan said. “GPlive is designed to create opportunities for everyone to get close to the cars and the drivers at the heart of this great sport. More than anything, that's what GPlive is all about,

“It's much more than just a motor race meeting. On each of the three days, your ticket gives you access to a huge variety of motorsport and lifestyle activities. Donington is a vibrant venue with masses of history and we'll combine that with a high octane celebration, featuring what will probably be the largest gathering of former Grand Prix cars and drivers in the world.”

Over its three days, GPlive will combine races and on track demonstrations from iconic cars and drivers who remain motor sport legends. Iconic cars of the 1970s and 1980s, such as JPS Lotus, Willams and Tyrell, will compete in two rounds of the FIA Thoroughbred Grand Prix World Championship, the premier racing series for historic cars of the era, while bringing things right up to date will be races for two-seat Minardi F1x2 cars - racing complete with passengers.

“We're delighted to be supporting an event like this, which brings the glamour and passion of the sport to the people, it's long overdue,” European Minardi F1 team boss Paul Stoddart said. “GPlive is all about fun and spectacle and we aim to play our part with our F1x2, two-seat cars and some of the European Minardi Formula One race cars too.”

In addition to the packed programme of on-track action and demonstrations, a ticket to GPlive will give access to activities and displays across the Donington venue.
