An impressive array of stars originating from Formula One, the Indy Racing League and
GP2 among others have been announced for the second running of the Desafio Internacional das Estrelas karting event in Brazil.
Organised by
Ferrari star Felipe Massa, the event takes place in Florianopolis, south of Sao Paulo, for the event that brings together racers from different formulas to compete in identical karts for the trophy.
Amongst those confirmed, Massa will be joined by F1 counterparts Rubens Barrichello, Tiago Monteiro, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Ricardo Zonta and Robert Doornbos, while Tony Kanaan, Felipe Giaffone and Vitor Meira fulfil the IRL entry list.
Others participants include
GP2 runner-up Nelson Piquet Jr, as well as newly announced FMS driver Antonio Pizzonia, while touring cars are represented by outgoing
DTM Jean Alesi and WTCC's Augusto Farfus Jr.
