UPDATE: Kubica has broken leg.

BMW-Sauber driver Robert Kubica has a broken leg following his monster shunt during today's Canadian Grand Prix.

The pole clipped the back of Jarno Trulli's Toyota heading down towards the hairpin on lap 27 and careered off the circuit at high speed, striking the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve's harsh, unforgiving concrete wall and barrel-rolling back across the circuit in a horrific-looking accident.

His manager Daniele Morelli, however, has confirmed Kubica is talking, and has been transferred from the track's medical centre to Montreal's Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur.
